A few weeks ago I spent a dreamy afternoon and the pink palace of the Riviera, other wise known as, Villa Rothschild. I’ve almost had the chance on several occasions to visit, but never quite managed to get there and it was worth the wait. Even though the weather let me down a little.
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is one of the most glamorous and romantic wedding venues in France if not the world, and the lucky couples who are fortunate enough to marry here and equally there quests who get to celebrate with them in these stunning settings, get to experience the magic of the Villa that has been left behind for them, and to the public on open days, by Beatrice, the Baroness of Rothschild. Beatrice was to say the least a little eccentric. Often known to wear head to toe pink (obviously she liked pink) and her favourite possessions where her two pet monkeys, she sounds like my kind of girl.
The immaculate gardens that bloom in every corner, the grand palatial decor and the undeniable aura of true Riviera glamour are undeniable here. If you have the chance to visit or even Marry here, take it. It is a truly spectacular place.
